Since its my first Blog post today, I thought it could be a good idea to let you guys know who I am as a person and what my goals are with this blog.
/whoami
So my name is Casimiro Cometta, I am 28 years old, a proud father and husband. I work in IT where I currently solve Network Security problems and most of the time I learn new interesting things every day on the job.
In my free time I sometimes go to the gym, sometimes I prepare myself for half marathons but what I like to do most is MMA or any type of combat sport really.
But ever since I got a kid, I kind of stopped doing most of that because my attention is needed somewhere else obviously, but I will gradually return – thats one of my personal goals!
/blog goals
I don’t want to get recognition or advertise this on my LinkedIn account just to get views and be pretentious – I just want this to be an authentic tech diary where I document my learnings and interests in the tech field. If I ever have something fun or interesting to share, I will.
For the most part, I think this tech blogs goal is to hold myself accountable to write and explain difficult concepts or breakdown interesting topics around IT – so I can learn and grow as an engineer.
The byproduct of this is also, that I can look back at these posts in the future to see how far I’ve come.
Just like the “time capsule”-like letters from primary school where you had to write to your future self in 10 years. I want that again just permanently available on my personal blog. People that are interested are more than welcome to just join me on that and read.
/noai
As advertised on the main page – all without AI. Not written by AI, no Pictures by AI, no text improvement by AI, just nothing. I don’t know how you’re feeling but I’m slowly getting sick of all the content or pictures on the internet being created by AI, which brings us closer to the “Dead Internet Theory“.
I’m not against AI in general, I use it all the time like anybody else today, but for this blog, the machines will not touch this project – because I want to be able to write myself still.
The pictures that I use on these pages are all hand drawn by my beautiful wife, and the text is written directly by me. So I will probably have some grammatical errors or typos because I don’t let them run through grammar-machines, but I hope I can keep the errors at a minimum.
/schedule
I will post every Sunday from now on – unless there’s a real reason why I can’t. Which I might document with a one-liner, purely for my future self.
